New Delhi: The BJP organized a rally in north Delhi's Burari to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent decisions that benefitted the people. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva described these decisions as a "Diwali gift" for residents of rural villages and unauthorised colonies. He mentioned that the issues of land mutation and no objection certificates for power connections were resolved following discussions with the Lieutenant Governor. Sachdeva praised the central government for being responsive and addressing the concerns of millions of people living in unauthorised areas of Delhi.

However, AAP accused the BJP of trying to take credit for the work done by the state government and mislead the public. The AAP highlighted their achievements in providing affordable electricity and questioned why BJP-ruled states don't offer free electricity if they are genuinely concerned about the people.

At the rally, Sachdeva emphasized how the removal of restrictions on property mutation and the elimination of the need for DDA's NOC for electricity connections in unauthorised colonies would benefit the residents. He expressed confidence in BJP winning the upcoming polls in Delhi and promised to extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households.Prioritizing the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers will be key focus areas. Sachdeva emphasized that under the BJP's leadership, no slum would be demolished without offering alternative housing to its residents when questioning the AAP government about its departments' actions. Additionally, it was mentioned that the Yamuna River would be free from pollution within a year as part of the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
